The Weald Smokery

I was commissioned to shoot the smoking processes, products and people at The Weald Smokery recently, spending a day at the kilns with the Smokers and their traditions!

Andrew, the owner is very particular about how he produces their range of meats, fish and cheeses – from the raw ingredients to the oak they burn in their kilns. This ensures the authentic flavour of the all the food they produce.

I wanted to capture their dedication to their craft and how they maintain the traditional working methods which have resulted in The Weald Smokery becoming known as one of the best artisan food producers operating in the UK today.
